I am so gonna smack DeviantVicky... :slap: (kidding)

I was up until 3:04am playing with the fractals.. No thanks to that fantastic tutorial I saw and gave it a go...

you can so get lost in these things. This is actually the 2nd one I did after the midnight hour, probably around 2am. I have more but I have to give them all titles some are ok and some I don't know if I did it or if it is a default of the program (only the fractal gods and goddesses could tell me).

Not sure where these would go so i put it here for now.

definite guidance is appreciated and accepted. Thanks for looking.

Well they want a clearly defined Mandelbrot satellite in the picture, so you'll have to make one where you are able to see it better. Also, to help with the jaggy lines, render the picture at twice the size you are going to upload, then resize it back down in GIMP/PS. Then the lines should be smooth. :D If you do all of that, this is totally worthy!

ok, a satellite? you mean the spindly things at the end? Not the middle.

and thanks on the hint to double render... I didn't know it would do that, give it more of a go (since I am in it playing around!!!) I'm figuring out what all the sin/cos things do.

The satellite is the whole Mandelbrot, "tail" and "head". :D If you go to the entries, you'll see a Mandelbrot in each of them, mine's right in the center.
About the render, if you go to my latest blue one and hit the download, you'll see there's no jagged lines. The picture is 1920 X 1200, but I rendered it at 3840 X 2400, then resized it in GIMP :D
