and why not render in a box!

Playing around with a big box and started liking how the shadows started to fall, and went with it. I'll probably play more with this set up.

Oh I love this... it's got that big box feel :D how about something set up to give some far distance gentle light in the dark dark upper area (even just a few pinpoints) ..it would really increase the scale/perspective in it .. but hey i only say that coz you asked for suggestions!! it's neat as it is :D

Intresting and colourful ! It looks like a series of puzzling objects ! I imagine an alien toolbox might look something like this :D
